Welcome!

The Circulators invite you to dance with us Friday evenings at the Recital Hall in Balboa Park from 7:30 - 9:45 PM. We dance at the plus level, with rounds between tips. Steve Woodard is our caller and Rey Garza and Radka Sandeman are our cuers. Couples, singles, and children (with adult supervision) are welcome. The entrance donation is $3.00 per person, unless it is a special dance. Children 13 and under are free.

Our party night is normally every 4th Friday. Take a look at our calendar and dress up to match the occasion.

We feature out-of-town callers at our 5th Friday and other special dances. Steve will be MC'ing these special evenings.

It's summer time! Put away those petticoats, bloomers and long-sleeved shirts for summer attire. Shorts, short-sleeved shirts or whatever can help keep you cool while you work up a sweat dancing is acceptable to wear to our dances.

For the hearing impaired and those wearing hearing aids, Circulators is proud to have a sound enhancement system. With your own pocket FM radio receiver and earphones or ear buds, you can tune into the Circulators' frequency and receive the caller's voice directly. Distracting noises, reverberation or distance from the sound source will not interfere with your ability to hear the caller or cuer.

Summer Workshop

Circulators' Plus workshop began June 25 from 6:30 - 7:30. Steve is teaching DBD (Dancing By Definition). It's a great opportunity to learn how to dance from other than the normal, hum-drum positions. The workshop continues through September 3. $3.00 per person pays for the workshop and the regular club dance.

Class

Our class graduated June 11th. Congratulations to all of the newly graduated dancers!

Our next beginning class starts September 10th. New students will be accepted for the first three weeks. Your first night of dancing is free! Class is held Friday nights from 6:30 - 8:00 PM in the Recital Hall in Balboa Park. $3.00 donation per person per lesson. Children 10 - 16 are free with paid adult.

Square dancing is a lot of fun and good exercise. You meet people from all walks of life and all ages. Give it a try if you have never square danced, or if you vaguely remember it from your elementary school days. We think you'll like it!

Caller and Cuers

Steve Steve Woodard has been calling for the club since 1981. He began square dance calling while serving in the Army in Germany. We consider him one of the best callers in the southern California area. He enjoys calling a challenging dance and we like him keeping us on our toes. In the San Diego county area, he also calls for the Flying A's (A2 & C1). He calls at many dances and festivals throughout California, Nevada and Arizona. Please contact Steve if you'd like to contract him for a dance. He can be reached by e-mail or by phone at (619) 697-8024.

Rey Garza has been cueing for the Circulators since 2002. If you would like to contract him for a dance. He can be reached by e-mail or by phone at (760) 458-6418. Rey
